July Indie Notables Fliers & Shelf-Talkers Debut

The July 2008 Indie Next List Notables flier is now available in a downloadable PDF [1] on BookWeb.org. The redesigned flier joins and amplifies the other new IndieBound materials [2], especially the new Indie Next List fliers, which debuted with the July list. The Indie Notables flier features jacket images, bibliographic information, and bookseller quotes, and, in addition, all Notables titles are featured in an electronic file of shelf-talkers [3] for in-store use.

The July Indie Notables feature a number of strong new fiction titles (including Atmospheric Disturbances, by Rivka Galchen from FSG, and the crime novel Head Wounds, by Chris Knopf from Permanent Press), as well as nonfiction and mystery/suspense titles.

"We've been hearing great things about the Indie Next List from booksellers who have begun to share the new, redesigned four-color fliers with their customers," said Dan Cullen, ABA editor-in-chief for the Indie Next List. "Having the Indie Notables as a downloadable PDF means that booksellers can augment the July Next List with more indie favorites in in-store displays and face-outs."
