WBN: Last Call for Nominations & a Great New Video

Monday, June 18, is the deadline for booksellers to send in title recommendations for World Book Night 2013. To nominate, click on this link [1], or e-mail titles to april23@worldbooknight.org [2]

Books must be backlist trade paperbacks, current or classics, for middle grades and up.

Additionally, WBN is compiling a complete book on local media coverage, with photos, to be sent to publishers, the media, and back out to booksellers. World Book Night U.S. Executive Director Carl Lennertz told BTW that he has already found a lot of the coverage online, but he is eager to receive any links to giver testimonials or photos that have been posted on Facebook. “If you have photos, please don’t send large attachments,” Lennertz said, “but describe to me what you have and I’ll reach out to you.” Facebook and local media links can be sent to april23@worldbooknight.org [2].  The deadline is June 22.

New this week is a World Book Night video, produced by Rob Simon of Burst Marketing in Denver, that provides a look at some of the highlights of this year’s event and encourages participation for 2013. Check it out below or on YouTube [3], and share it with customers and friends.
