Thanks for Shopping Indie Sign-up Deadline October 22

Thanks for Shopping Indie [1], the first-ever multi-publisher promotion exclusively for ABA member bookstores, announced earlier this month [2], will give booksellers the opportunity to offer  an “extra” to customers on a broad range of 2012 Indie Next List titles. The promotion starts on November 24, Small Business Saturday, [3] but to take part stores must sign up by October 22 [1].

A key element of the promotion is that stores mount a “Thanks for Shopping Indie” front-of-store display featuring promo titles and specially designed downloadable POP, from November 24, 2012 through at least December 1, 2012. Booksellers must also agree to promote Thanks for Shopping Indie in store newsletters, through social media, as staff picks, and the like.

Downloadable logos, table display cards, web banners, and posters are available in the Bookseller DIY [4]. Booksellers with suggestions and ideas regarding Thanks for Shopping Indie promotional materials are encouraged to contact ABA Marketing Manager and Designer Greg Galloway [5].
