ABA to Visit with Booksellers in the Great Lakes & New England Areas

On February 7, in conjunction with the Great Lakes Bookseller Association, the American Booksellers Association will be conducting the first of two booksellers forums scheduled for the Great Lakes area in the upcoming months. The forum will provide ABA member booksellers an opportunity to meet and talk with ABA CEO Avin Mark Domnitz and Len Vlahos, director of BookSense.com. It will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Century Ballroom of Weber's Inn, 3050 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan [(734) 769-2500].

In conjunction with the New England Booksellers Association (NEBA), ABA will conduct a forum on Tuesday, February 12, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Salem Room of the Westford Regency, 219 Littleton Road, Westford, Massachusetts [(978) 692-8200]. ABA staff members on hand for an exchange of ideas with booksellers will be Domnitz, Vlahos, and ABA COO Oren Teicher.

ABA will be back in the Great Lakes region on March 20 for an ABA Booksellers Forum in Chicago, and a second forum for New England area booksellers will be held on April 11 in Boston.

The forums are designed to allow booksellers to express their opinions to association leadership and to provide input as ABA develops new priorities and directions.
