BookSense.com Adds Bookwrap Author Video Interviews

Partnership With BookstreamInc. to Bring More Content to Independent Bookstore Web Sites

The American Booksellers Association announced today the addition of Bookwrap author video to its BookSense.com product. Through a partnership with BookstreamInc., BookSense.com will facilitate the loading of this unique content -- streaming video of author interviews and readings -- on the more than 200 BookSense.com member Web sites beginning this June.

Bookwraps will appear on product pages of member Web sites and will be included in individual title promotions. BookSense.com members will also be able to use Bookwrap author video in e-newsletters, to announce author appearances, for other electronic book promotions, and to feature an author video gallery on their store sites.

"Bookwrap author video clips will be a great addition to BookSense.com, and we're very pleased to be adding this content," said Len Vlahos, director of BookSense.com. "Bookwraps will help our members translate the unique qualities of their in-store offerings to their Web sites."

The Bookwraps-BookSense.com integration will be demonstrated to booksellers who visit the Book Sense Lounge during BookExpo America in Chicago this June, and the wide variety of Bookwrap marketing, sales, and publicity uses will be discussed and explored with booksellers.

Charles Halpin, managing director and founder of BookstreamInc., noted, "We are very happy to partner with BookSense.com to provide an important new distribution channel for Bookwraps, and our Bookwrap publishers are delighted to have their Bookwrap titles prominently promoted on Web sites managed by independent booksellers. It's a real win all round, especially for the consumer who will enjoy a richer book buying experience."
