BookSense.com On the Move…
Here, BookSense.com Director Len Vlahos provides an update on the latest improvements and enhancements to BookSense.com.
Greetings BookSense.com Bookseller! There is a lot of BookSense.com news in this edition of On the Move:
- We will be offering a BookSense.com Free Trial Offer, which starts on July 1 and runs through September 30, 2004. This offer will give Book Sense marketing program members the chance to try the best online marketing and sales tool available to independent booksellers -- free of charge, with no obligation to continue after the free trial ends, and no strings attached. Interested stores can sign up beginning at BookExpo America (BEA).
- We are having a BookSense.com Users Group meeting at BEA on Friday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. in Room 402A. Members of the BookSense.com staff will be on hand to meet with booksellers who are using the product, to discuss new developments, and to listen to user feedback. Non-BookSense.com stores are welcome to attend and observe. Additionally, Scott Nafz and I will be available throughout BEA for individual meetings with current and prospective BookSense.com users. - As of the past month, we have two new employees, both of whom are part-time Java programmers: Mariam Varghese and Geetha Krishnasamy. Both come to us from Pace University, and we are delighted to have them on the BookSense.com team. Welcome Mariam and Geetha!
- To improve the speed, performance, and reliability of the BookSense.com system going into the 2004 holiday season, ABA is making a substantial investment to upgrade our servers and software. These upgrades will be done incrementally over the next four months, and we are confident that the result will be a much faster, smoother BookSense.com This will require some down time in July and/or August, but we will be sure to give plenty of notice before any scheduled maintenance.
