Dozens of Indie Favorites to Attend Celebration of Bookselling
More than 40 of indie booksellers' favorite authors will be at this year's ABA Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon at BookExpo America. The May 26 event, sponsored by Baker & Taylor, is open exclusively to the owners and staff at ABA member stores, and will feature the presentation of the 2010 Indies Choice Book Awards.
"We're delighted to have so many authors whose books independent booksellers have enjoyed handselling join us for the Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon," said Mark Nichols, ABA industry relations officer. "And we're especially pleased that all seven Indies Choice Book Award winners will be there to accept their awards. Our sincere thanks go out to all the authors and their publishers, and to B&T, for making this annual trade show highlight possible."
The Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon is booked to capacity. Booksellers at ABA member stores can now add their names to a waiting list. This free event will be held from noon - 1:30 p.m. on May 26, in the Javits Center's Special Events Hall. Questions regarding the lunch should be addressed to Nichols.
