E-Book Solution Featured at NAIBA Conference Next Weekend
The American Booksellers Association will be at the September 28 - 30 New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association Fall Conference to share details about Kobo, the new e-book solution for member stores; meet with booksellers about their concerns; and provide updates on ABA programs and initiatives.
On Saturday, the 29th, from 9:45 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., ABA will present the education session “E-Books and Independent Bookstores,” an in-depth introduction to Kobo, the digital solution available to all ABA member stores. Booksellers will also be able to learn more about Kobo eBooks and eReaders and the program’s special launch incentive at the ABA booth on the trade show floor. Representatives from Kobo and Ingram, the exclusive distributor of Kobo’s new family of eReaders to ABA member stores, will be at the show to answer booksellers’ questions.
The booth will also feature information about Thanks for Shopping Indie, the first-ever multi-publisher promotion exclusively for ABA member bookstores that begins on Small Business Saturday, November 24.
Booksellers who drop off a business card at the ABA booth can earn an extra entry in a sweepstakes to win a Winter Institute 8 scholarship, covering up to four nights’ accommodations at the host hotel, a maximum of $350 in travel expenses, and the $75 Wi8 meal fee.
Complete trade show details are available on the NAIBA website.
Booksellers with questions about ABA’s participation at the NAIBA show should contact Kaitlin Pitcher via e-mail or at (800) 637-0037, ext. 6666.
