Edelweiss Demo Session Added to Wi4 Program
The American Booksellers Association has announced changes to its Fourth Annual Winter Institute program schedule to allow for the addition of a new session: "Above the Treeline Electronic Catalog Solution: A Demonstration."
On Thursday, October 30, Above the Treeline announced that it would begin testing of Edelweiss, its new online interactive catalog product, beginning November 1. The product, which was developed with input from the American Booksellers Association, independent retailers, and publishers over the course of the last six months, provides a revolutionary new way for buyers and sales reps to review and order new titles. Edelweiss is designed to work across publishers and allow buyers the ability to budget frontlist, easily view catalog changes, receive messages from sales reps, and view catalog content through dynamic web pages or printable pdfs.
The Edelweiss session, a "Beginner" course, will be held on Friday, January 30, from 10:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. "Using Multimedia to Market Your Store, which was originally scheduled in that time slot, will now be held on Saturday, January 31, from 3:15 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. in place of ABACUS.
