Full November/December Book Sense 76 Now Online

The full November/December Book Sense 76 with booksellers' quotes is now online at news.bookweb.org/read/1918. Fliers will be mailed to bookstores to arrive during the first week of November.

It's a rich and varied list, from which a number of wonderful in-store displays can be designed. Watch upcoming issues of BTW for some additional related coverage of this 76 list, but, in the meantime, Dan Cullen, Book Sense 76 editor-in-chief, sends many thanks to the hundreds of booksellers who shared their knowledgeable and passionate picks. Though only 76 quotes are selected, the list would be impossible to produce -- and, importantly, would fail to reflect the full diversity of independent bookselling -- without the participation of the hundreds of other booksellers who contribute to the Book Sense 76.

Looking ahead, the deadline for the January/February 2004 Book Sense 76 is November 21, and work is beginning for the next Reading Groups Suggestions Book Sense 76. Many stores have related how effective the reading group guide is as a marketing tool, and Cullen encourages booksellers to send their suggestions for the next guide.
