Kids' Authors & Illustrators Sought for BEA Breakfast

The Children's Booksellers and Publishers Committee, which is composed of representatives of ABA, the Association of Booksellers for Children, and the Children's Book Council, is inviting publishers exhibiting at BookExpo America 2005 in New York City to suggest children's book illustrators and authors for consideration as speakers at the Children's Book and Author Breakfast.

The breakfast will be held on Friday, June 3, and will feature three speakers. Suggested authors and illustrators will also be considered as speakers for other children's book programming at BEA.

Authors of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, as well as illustrators and photographers, may be suggested only by publishers exhibiting at BEA 2005. Suggestions, accompanied by a list of two or three recent titles and biographical information about the author, as well as complete contact details for the publisher's representative responsible for the suggestions, should be sent to Molly Ker Hawn of the Children's Book Council at molly.ker.hawn@cbcbooks.org. The deadline for responses is Thursday, October 28, 2004.
