Last Call: December 1 Deadline for World Book Night Store Sign-Up

Bookstores that wish to participate in the 2013 celebration of World Book Night in the U.S. must return a Host Store Marketing Agreement by Saturday, December 1.

“I really need stores on board with a marketing agreement in hand and your social media and newsletter promotion of giver sign-up begun before the holidays,” said World Book Night U.S. Executive Director Carl Lennertz. “We’ve sent reminders all fall, and it’s time — December 1 is the deadline. The marketing agreement can be found at us.worldbooknight.org/resources/all-resources.”

The agreement affirms a bookstore’s commitment to be both a book pick-up location and an active promoter of World Book Night in the community. Bookstore sign-up has been underway since September.

Earlier this month, World Books Night U.S. revealed the 30 titles to be given away during the April 23, 2013 campaign and opened the online application process for those wishing to become volunteer book givers next spring.

Booksellers who would also like to be givers can apply online, or they can fill out an Excel spreadsheet to be sent to participating stores by World Book Night U.S. Executive Director Carl Lennertz.
