Latest Today Book Club Selection Announced

On Tuesday, December 14, author Sue Monk Kidd, an indie favorite and 2004 Book Sense Book of the Year Award-winner for The Secret Life of Bees (Penguin), chose Stephanie Kallos' new novel Broken for You (Grove) as the next title to be read by the NBC Today Show's Today Book Club.

Broken for You was a September 2004 Book Sense Pick. In nominating the title for the Picks list, Akankha Perkins of The Sun of the Heart Bookstore in Bridgewater, Vermont, said, "Set in contemporary Seattle, this debut novel features a septuagenarian recluse and a young woman with a broken heart. How these two women come together, open up to each other, themselves, and those around them, makes a fascinating and compelling book.
