Learn More About Kobo at Wi8

Winter Institute 8 will feature several opportunities for booksellers to learn more about the ABA/Kobo program and plans in the works for 2013. In addition, Kobo representatives will be available to talk to booksellers directly.

Here’s a look at what’s on tap:

Discover Kobo 2013. A plenary session
Saturday, February 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Michael Tamblyn, Kobo’s Chief Content Officer, will discuss the ABA program since its launch and will share Kobo’s vision for 2013.


ABA eBook Program, for current and prospective participants
This session will be repeated twice:
Saturday, February 23, from 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Monday, February 25, 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

ABA Member Technology Director Neil Strandberg will be joined by Kobo representatives for a discussion of various aspects of the Kobo program, encompassing both content and devices. Booksellers are encouraged to send their questions and suggested discussion topics in advance to kobosupport@bookweb.org no later than Friday, February 15.

Ask ABA
Kobo representatives will join ABA staff at the Ask ABA Desk on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of the Winter Institute. Booksellers are invited to drop by for a face-to-face conversation. In addition, IndieCommerce stores and members who are interested in learning more about the e-commerce solution can e-mail to set up an appointment with an IndieCommerce customer service rep, Scott Naz or Valerie Federici.
