PartnerShip Offers Discount Shipping Alternatives

American Booksellers Association members saved an average of $3,300 each on shipping costs last year, simply by participating in PartnerShip, a free member benefit.

And, now, as the U.S. Postal Service implements rate hikes, including an estimated 13 percent increase in international shipping costs, PartnerShip wants to remind booksellers that the ABA Discount Shipping Program remains a viable alternative for all of their shipping needs.

Through the ABA affinity program administered by PartnerShip, www.PartnerShip.com, members are eligible to save 18 percent on all global shipments with select FedEx Express services. FedEx ships packages to 220 countries throughout the world every day. Packages can picked up at your location (small fee added), or dropped off at the nearest FedEx or FedEx Kinko's location. [For the nearest location, visit www.fedex.com or call toll-free (800) 463-3339.]

Enrolling in the ABA Discount Shipping Program provides an array of discounted FedEx select services. In addition, the program offers less than truckload (LTL) service discounts of up to 63 percent with UPS Freight, and up to 62 percent with Yellow Transportation.

Address questions about the ABA Discount Shipping Program to PartnerShip directly at (800) 599-2902. PartnerShip's transportation experts are available to explain the program, set up time-critical shipments, and provide timely rate quotes -- usually while you wait. ABA members can also enroll online at any time.
