Scholastic's Harry Potter Info Desk for Booksellers Online

To help booksellers make the most of the July 16, 2005, publication of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Scholastic has created a Web site, www.scholastic.com/custsupport/booksellers/harrypotter.htm, for retailers and distributors only. The site offers publication, ordering, and shipping information, an On-Sale Date Policy Contract, and high- and low-resolution files of placeholder art, with guidelines for use in promotional and advertising campaigns.

For booksellers interested in qualifying for delivery of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince before July 16, 2005, the site outlines these requirements:

• Customers must return a completed 2005 On-Sale Date Policy Contract prior to April 1, 2005. (The contract, which is downloadable from the site, applies to all of the publisher's 2005 titles with restricted on-sale dates.)
  

• Customers must return, prior to April 1, 2005, a completed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Agreement, which will be available shortly. (This agreement will detail the publisher's specific terms, conditions, requirements, and restrictions regarding Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.)
  

• Customers must be in good credit standing.
  

• Orders must be in multiples of 10.
  

Scholastic began taking orders for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from retailers and distributors on Tuesday, December 21, 2004. An order deadline for delivery before the on-sale date will be announced by the publisher shortly.
