Like all small businesses, independent bookstore owners are feeling the pinch of high-cost healthcare. I believe that passage of S. 1955 would level the playing field for small businesses by allowing them to band together across state lines, through their membership in an association, in Small Business Health Plans to purchase more affordable health insurance. Large corporations already have the ability to purchase health insurance at lower costs -- I think small businesses should, too.
