Top Indie Recommendations for Kids & Young Adults: Winter 2001 - 2009
The number-one indie title recommendations for kids for winter 2001 through 2009 are now featured in an attractive downloadable PDF flier. The color flier, which can easily be printed on standard 8-1/2" x 11" paper, is perfect for displays and for use as a bag stuffer and is a great way to promote a unique collection of backlist titles.
The list is part of a yearlong celebration of 10 years of unique indie bookseller recommendations, which began in 1999 with the first Book Sense 76. The monthly list later morphed into the Book Sense Picks, and now the Indie Next List. Since 2001, separate quarterly children's lists have been created.
To celebrate the lists' 10th anniversary, since September the American Booksellers Association has been creating a monthly downloadable PDF display piece showcasing the top picks for the month over the past 10 years, as well as seasonal lists of kids' picks. Booksellers can find all of the lists to date, including November, on the Indie Next List page on BookWeb.org and in IndieBound.org's Bookseller DIY.
