That Was the Bookselling Year That Was

Avin Mark Domnitz, ABA CEO, will join Jim Milliot of Publishers Weekly, and David D. Kirkpatrick of the New York Times to talk about the book publishing industry on C-SPAN’s The Business of Books. The participants discuss the impact of the terrorist attacks of September 11 on the industry, including some of the books that were directly affected, as well as the potential impact of post-September 11 legislation. They also examine some of the stories that made headlines in 2001, the controversy over Jonathan Franzen and his book The Corrections, and the distribution history of Michael Moore's book Stupid White Men. The discussion took place at the offices of Publishers Weekly in New York City.

The show will be broadcast on Saturday, March 2, at 10:00 p.m, Sunday, March 3, at 7:00 p.m., and Monday, March 4, at 7:00 a.m.
