Wi8: Registration to Open Next Thursday

Booksellers at ABA member stores will be able to register for the eighth annual Winter Institute (Wi8) beginning next Thursday, September 27. Wi8 will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, from Saturday, February 23, to Monday, February 25, 2013, with an opening reception on Friday, February 22, 2013.

Registration for Wi8 is open exclusively to ABA bookstore and provisional members and is capped at 500 booksellers, with a maximum of three registrants per member business, to ensure a dynamic yet intimate educational program.

The Winter Institute has sold out quickly in the last several years, so booksellers who wish to attend are urged to register as soon as possible.

Among the special events planned for 2013 are two Reps Picks lunches, the Winter Institute’s signature Author Reception, and a trip to the National Association of College Stores’ CAMEX trade show, where booksellers will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of and business relationships with a number of non-book vendors.

The Winter Institute is once again made possible by support from the Ingram Content Group, Wi8’s lead sponsor, and from publishers large and small.
