World Book Night Giver Parties in Full Swing
At World Book Night parties from New York to Hawaii this week givers celebrated, shared stories, and left with their carton of books to be given away on the night of April 23. Here, in photos, is a look at some of the fun at “pickup parties” at bookstores (and one library) across the country.
Givers gathered on a recent afternoon at Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville, Illinois, to pick up their book boxes and take their solemn oath to be ambassadors of good books. Each was given a WBN T-shirt created by the store.
