One of several new features recently introduced on IndieBound.org makes many IndieBound marketing materials freely available to non-ABA-member retail businesses, such as independently owned bicycle shops, toy stores, and gift and home shops.

The IndieBound team, which has been hard at work since the Winter Institute, this week announced five major new features that benefit everyone. Info Pages for Books Now it's easier than ever for authors, publishers, and bloggers to link to IndieBound and support independent bookstores. Any book result from the IndieBound.org site search will now link to a full information page on each book, with large cover art and a brief book description.

New categories, new selection process highlight successor to Book Sense Book of the Year Awards

With a fun and vibrant design that reflects the energy, verve, and insight of its indie bookseller recommendations, the Spring 2009 Kids' Next List has arrived. The new list can be seen in preview and is now featured on IndieBound.org in a clear, interactive format that lets consumers access all of the stellar picks and purchase titles from their favorite independent bookstores.
