This Friday, July 11, is the deadline for nominations for the Fall Children's Indie Next List, which will be the debut kids' Next List.

PC Magazine's AppScout, which "scour[s] the world in search of the best software, sites, and Web apps," recently named IndieBound.org to its list of "Cool Web Sites."

July Indie Notables Fliers & Shelf-Talkers Debut

Who Gets What -- and When -- With IndieBound

When IndieBound, the new movement celebrating the value of independent bookstores and other locally owned indie retailers, was launched by the American Booksellers Association at end of May, all independently owned member stores were automatically included in the program. A Literary Liberation Box with posters, decals, buttons, bookmarks, and lots of other rallying materials was sent to all locally owned ABA member stores.
