AMIBA Offers Early Bird Rate for Go Local, Grow Local Conference

The American Independent Business Alliance is inviting individuals and groups from across the country to take part in its biennial conference, Go Local, Grow Local: Building Community Prosperity From Within, from Thursday, March 29, through Sunday, April 1, in Louisville, Kentucky. The conference, which is filled with interactive sessions, has drawn praise from past participants for its wealth of concrete, immediately usable tools for strengthening their organizations. The schedule provides breaks to connect with other attendees, visit exhibitors, and share ideas and build relationships. There is also time in the evening to explore downtown Louisville (just out the door of the conference’s riverfront venue).

The registration deadline to receive the Early Bird rate ($100 off the regular cost of $380 for AMIBA affiliates) was scheduled to end February 29; however, AMIBA is offering the Early Bird rate for an additional week (that’s until March 7) to registrants who mention Bookselling This Week.

This year’s sessions include Growing Local: models for a thriving local food economy; Tapping the Power of Local Capital; Keys to Gaining and Retaining Members; Leveraging the Power of Local Institutions; Going Mobile: Apps and local business; and much more. See the full schedule.

Go Local, Grow Local provides a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and Independent Business Alliances from across the country. There’s still time to register at the Early Bird Rate and to book your room at the Galt House. (Details are available on conference registration page.)
