Scholarships Available for BALLE Business Conference

The Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) has announced the availability of scholarships to the 2012 BALLE Business Conference. The Real Prosperity Starts Here Conference will be held May 15 - 18, 2012, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Real Prosperity Starts Here will bring together more than 700 community leaders, entrepreneurs, independent business owners, policymakers, economic development professionals to talk about how locally owned and operated sustainable businesses are the key to improving the economic fortunes of their regions. 

There are two conference scholarships now open for application:

• Scholarship Fund for Leaders of Color-- Sponsored by Ben Cohen, these scholarships cover main conference registration for qualified entrepreneurs and community leaders of color who are advancing one or more building blocks for local living economies in their cities and towns.
   
• RSF Social Finance Community Capital Scholarships – Scholarships cover main conference registration costs of awardees who are transforming the way their communities work with money.
