Awards Sticker Available in DIY

An Indies Choice Book Awards sticker has been added to the Bookseller DIY to help stores promote this year’s winners and honor books. The graphic is a 2" circle, but the art can be scaled to almost any size, larger or smaller, and printed locally. A 2012 Indies Choice Books Awards logo is also available in the DIY in a variety of formats for use in print and online, as are graphics for the E.B. Read-Aloud Awards.

A limited number of printed foil stickers to promote this year’s E.B. White winners and honor books is available to members of the ABC Group at ABA upon request and as long as supplies last. To request E.B. White award stickers, ABC Group members should contact ABA Industry Relations Assistant Carolyn Bennett.

The 2012 Indies Choice Book Award winners are:

  • Adult Fiction:  The Marriage Plot, by Jeffrey Eugenides (FSG)
  • Adult Nonfiction:  Blood, Bones & Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef, by Gabrielle Hamilton (Random House)
  • Adult Debut: The Tiger’s Wife, by Téa Obreht (Random House)
  • Young Adult: Between Shades of Gray, by Ruta Sepetys (Philomel)

The E.B. White Read-Aloud winners are:

  • Middle Reader (a tie):  The Apothecary, by Maile Meloy, Ian Schoenherr (Illus.) (Putnam Juvenile) and Wildwood, by Colin Meloy, Carson Ellis (Illus.) (Balzer + Bray)
     
  • Picture Book:  I Want My Hat Back, by Jon Klassen (Candlewick Press)

All of the 2012 Indies Choice and E.B. White winners will be accepting their awards in person at the June 5 Celebration of Bookselling Author Awards Luncheon at BookExpo America. Don’t be left out; reserve now.
