Book Sense Ads in The Atlantic Monthly and The New Yorker to Spotlight 76 Picks

Book Sense, as well as individual Book Sense 76 picks, will be spotlighted in several advertisements in upcoming issues of The Atlantic Monthly and The New Yorker.

The March 2002 issue of The Atlantic Monthly will feature Burning Marguerite by Elizabeth Inness-Brown (Knopf, 0375411968) in a black-and-white Book Sense ad.

Meanwhile, three books will be highlighted in the March 18 issue of The New Yorker: Crow Lake by Mary Lawson (Dial Press, 038533611X; a March/April 2002 Book Sense 76 pick) in a color ad; Erasure by Percival Everett (University Press of New England, 1584650907; a January/February 2002 Book Sense 76 pick) in a black-and-white ad; and The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd (Viking Press, 0670894605; March/April 2002 Book Sense 76 pick) in a black-and-white ad.

Additionally, an ad in the March 25 issue of The New Yorker will feature the March/April 2002 Book Sense 76 pick Atonement by Ian McEwan (Talese/Doubleday, 0385503954; release date March 12). Looking to mid-spring, the May 6 issue will feature the May/June 2002 Book Sense 76 Top Ten.

The April and May issues of The Atlantic Monthly will feature Book Sense ads spotlighting What Do We Know: Poems by Mary Oliver (Da Capo Press, 030680994X; release date April; a Poetry 76 Top Ten, April 2002 pick) and Gould’s Book of Fish by Richard Flanagan (Grove Press, 0802117112; release date April), respectively.
