Still Time to Send Photos for May 5 Book Sense Insert in The New Yorker

The May 5 issue of The New Yorker, on sale April 28, will include a special insert highlighting titles selected by independent booksellers for the May/June Book Sense 76. Books that make great gifts for Mother's Day, Father's Day, and graduation will be featured. To complement the story, the magazine is seeking photographs of bookstores with Book Sense. All Book Sense stores are encouraged to send photographs of their stores, especially good exterior shots.

Digital photos or color glossy prints, no larger than 4" x 6", are sought. Digital photos, approximately 3" x 5" and 300 dpi, saved as JPEG or TIFF files, should be e-mailed to Chris Babcock at chris@bookweb.org. Multiple pictures may be sent as a stuffed file (.sit). Photos should not be saved as PDF or ZIP files, but photos saved on a ZIP disk are acceptable. Zip disks, CDs, or prints should be mailed to Chris Babcock, ABA, 828 South Broadway, Tarrytown, New York 10591.

All photos must be labeled with store name, city, and state. Photos will not be returned.

Deadline: Monday, March 17. For more information, contact Babcock at (800) 637-0037, ext. 1260, or e-mail her at chris@bookweb.org.
