New Holiday Designs Promote the Power of Indies
Several new holiday designs are now available in ABA’s Bookseller DIY. This year’s message — “Indie Booksellers Hold Up Half the Sky” — was inspired by a post on Tor.com that suggests the power of booksellers in their own communities.
The new “half the sky” tree designs come in two versions – one that explicitly references the holiday shopping season and a more generic version that can be used year-round. Another new design features the “half the sky” message but with a burst of light rather than the tree design, and a final new piece features the familiar tagline “A book: the perfect gift for someone who has everything.”
Each new design, which is easily recognizable in the DIY by its “NEW” tag, is offered as a bookmark and as a poster. Booksellers can also right-click and save the images to use as web graphics.
Holiday designs from previous years are archived in the Bookseller DIY and are ready to use as well.
Last week, ABA unveiled several new general poster and bag designs inspired by marketing materials from the indie bookselling communities in Australia and the U.K. These feature the taglines “Find it here. Buy it here. Keep books on your Main Street” and “What’s in Here?”
Booksellers with questions about using the new designs, or any of the materials in the DIY, should contact ABA Marketing Manager Paige Poe.
