Picks to Tie Into The History Channel's American Revolution Series
This summer, Book Sense and The History Channel (THC) will again be partnering to create marketing materials for booksellers to tie-in with THC programming. A new series focusing on the American Revolution will begin on THC during the first weekend in June and will continue weekly on Sunday nights for 13 episodes.
In conjunction with the new series, Book Sense will be compiling a History Top Ten list featuring titles related to the American Revolution. Booksellers are encouraged to send in title nominations -- both fiction and nonfiction, frontlist and backlist, for adults and children -- to picks@booksense.com. Booksellers can also nominate titles via a convenient online nomination form.
The deadline for the History Top Ten is March 31.
"We're excited to be working again with the History Channel, which shares with independent booksellers a passion for offering compelling stories and fascinating information," said Meg Smith, associate director Book Sense Marketing. "There have been some extraordinary titles published on the American Revolution over the past few years, and this is a great opportunity to showcase them in conjunction with all-new programming."
