Ring in the Season With Holiday IndieBound
Nurturing community and emphasizing the long-lasting value of the book are the heart of the new IndieBound holiday marketing materials, launched last week in the Bookseller DIY.
More than 40 different designs for posters, gift labels, bookmarks, ad slicks, postcards, palm cards, newsletters, bag stuffers, and more have been created to draw customers into the store; to motivate them to buy once they're there; and to remind them after they leave of all that your store has to offer and of the importance of shopping locally.
If you're preparing your next store newsletter, remember to add one of IndieBound's fresh new holiday images with your favorite tag line. How about "Books return dividends for life," "Why a book? Because a tie never changed anyone's life," or "Affordable. Portable. Memorable"? Or target text-messagers with images that say "BFF. BKS. 4RL." or "AFK IRL @IndieBookstore."
You can customize any Holiday IndieBound design by adding your store name, logo, or other information. And if you don't find the right file size or colors in the Bookseller DIY, contact IndieBound Outreach Liaison Paige Poe at (800) 637-0037, ext. 6668, or paige@bookweb.org, and ABA will work with you.
Be on the lookout for a full sheet of IndieBound gift labels ("Give Time. Give Joy. Give Books.") arriving in stores in the November Red Box. But, remember, as with all Holiday IndieBound materials, they're easily reproducible (in this case on Avery 8161 or similar labels), so you can create as many as you want!
