S&S Announces Changes for Returnable Accounts

Effective March 4, Simon & Schuster has changed its Order Minimum Policy and Dating Terms for Retail Returnable Accounts.

The Order Minimum for Retail Returnable Accounts has changed to 30 units for Initials and Reorders combined, with no Retail Dollar Minimum requirement. Orders not meeting this minimum will receive a 40 percent discount. 

Customers who receive a 19 percent discount on short discount titles should continue to receive the 19 percent. (Accounts ordering via EDI will receive 20 percent.)

S&S’s Dating Terms for Retail Returnable Accounts have changed from Net 45 days to 60 days EOM.

The new Order Minimum and Dating Terms apply to orders entered on or after March 4. They do not apply to backorders in the S&S system prior to that date or to non-returnable accounts.

The changes do affect Andrews McMeel Publishing and Harlequin titles.
