Thursday Tips, Reminders, and 76 Pick In-Store Dates

By Carl Lennertz

  1. The Summer Teen Reading 76 Top Ten is now printed and going into the July "white box" mailing, starting to mail next week ... but, if you so desire, you can download it and make copies now; it's online at http://www.bookweb.org/read/1474
  2. Reminder: July 28 is the deadline for recommendations for the September/October 76 and the Fall Children's 76.
  3. The list of Book Sense Bestseller List reporting stores to be sent to the publishers will be generated based on reporting for June and early July, so, please, start reporting if you haven't been. It's a snap. We are also close to more regional bestseller lists!
  4. I know it's hectic personally and professionally around July 4, so you may have missed our second category bestseller list, Business Books. As with the Cookbook list, there are some books you may want to consider for stock!
  5. Almost all the July/August 76 picks were in-store by July 1 and most much sooner, but here is a recap of those that got to most stores between July 1 and now. (Three came out this week.) Please check stock and display on these important 76 picks:
