ABA Booksellers Forum at UMBA Spring Meeting Set for March 8

The American Booksellers Association will be holding a Booksellers Forum in conjunction with the Upper Midwest Booksellers Association (UMBA) Spring Meeting, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday, March 8. The UMBA Spring Meeting runs from March 8 - 9.

The forum will be held from 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the UMBA offices (307 West 44th Street, Minneapolis). The meeting will give attendees a chance to get an update on association business from ABA staff. Additionally, it will present booksellers with an opportunity to ask questions and to provide input to shape future programs and association initiatives.

UMBA programming at the Spring Meeting includes a "Pizza Party! and Roundtable Discussion on Sidelines," held from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8. On Sunday, March 9, a "Co-op Management Demystified Workshop (& Continental Breakfast)" seminar will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The workshop fee is $10 per person.

The ABA/UMBA Booksellers Forum in Minneapolis is one of five upcoming forums scheduled for February and March.

An ABA Booksellers Forum will be held in conjunction with the New England Booksellers Association at the Westford Regency Inn & Conference Center in Westford, Massachusetts, on Thursday, February 20. (For more information, click here.)

Two forums will occur on March 14: In conjunction with the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Spring Show, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and in conjunction with the Mountains & Plains Booksellers Association Spring Meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico. On March 27, a Booksellers Forum will be held in conjunction with the Great Lakes Booksellers Association in Chicago.
