Reminder! ABA Booksellers Forum at UMBA Spring Meeting Next Week
The American Booksellers Association will be holding a Booksellers Forum in conjunction with the Upper Midwest Booksellers Association (UMBA) Spring Meeting, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday, March 8. The UMBA Spring Meeting runs from March 8 - 9.
The forum will be held from 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the UMBA offices (307 West 44th Street, Minneapolis). [For more on the UMBA forum, click here.]
On Friday, March 14, ABA will be holding Booksellers Forums in conjunction with the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association (PNBA) Spring Show in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and in conjunction with the Mountains & Plains Booksellers Association (MPBA) Spring Meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Additional ABA programming at the PNBA show, which runs from March 14 - 16, at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, will include a Book Sense Workshop, a "Budgeting & Monitoring Workshop," and an ABACUS "Sneak Preview." At MPBA's Spring Meeting, which will be held at the Radisson Santa Fe, from March 14 - 16, ABA programming will also include a BookSense.com Users Group Meeting and a Book Sense Update. On Thursday, March 27, ABA will hold its second Booksellers Forum in the Great Lakes region this season. The forum, which includes lunch, will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Transitions Bookplace Learning Center in Chicago. The forum will be preceded by an ABACUS Sneak Preview, for booksellers who have already submitted their data and those who bring it with them to the meeting, from 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. A "Succession Planning Seminar," with an emphasis on how to value your business, will be held after the forum, from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. [Look for more details on the GLBA forum, in next week's BTW.]
