Map Illustrates Scope of ABA 2003 Booksellers Forums Tour
ABA's 2003 Booksellers Forums came to a close with the 12th forum, held in conjunction with the New England Booksellers Association, on May 1 in Storrs, Connecticut. Since the launch of the forum program in January 1998, ABA has hosted over 70 meetings with member booksellers across the country.
This year, the forums kicked off in Santa Monica, California, on January 14, and traveled to 11 other cities nationwide (see list of cities below). The forums gave booksellers the chance to hear updates on ABA business and to offer their input to ABA Board members and staff. Hot topics at the forums this year were ABA's development of a Book Sense electronic gift card and the new BookSense.com Co-op initiative.
