New Voices Marketing Kits Shipping Soon
Members of the ABC Group at ABA will be receiving a special New Voices Marketing Kit in the Summer Children’s White Box, shipping next week.
The ABC New Voices program highlights the best debut authors for kids and teens each year. A committee of 12 independent booksellers chose the 12 New Voices Spring Picks, and the American Booksellers Association created marketing kits to aid ABC Group members in promoting sales of these stellar debuts.
The New Voices Marketing Kit contains:
- 12 Spring New Voices Picks shelf-talkers with bookseller quotes
- 10 “Now in Paperback” shelf-talkers featuring previous years’ New Voices picks
- Two counter cards, one for Ages 8 - 12; the other for Teens
- Two sets of bookmarks, one style for Ages 8 - 12; the other for Teens
- 50 New Voices fliers listing the 12 Spring New Voices Picks and the 10 “Now in Paperback” selections
The New Voices marketing materials are useful summer reading guides for kids and teens looking for something new to read. They also provide great gift ideas, especially for those precocious readers who have “read it all.”
ABA member stores who receive Children’s White Boxes and have not opted in to the ABC Group will receive 50 copies of the New Voices fliers.
More marketing materials are coming this fall, including a two-page spread in the ABC Best Books for Children Catalog featuring the New Voices Committee’s Top New Voices Picks of 2012.
Booksellers are encouraged to send photos of their New Voices displays to ABC Group Manager Shannon O’Connor, or to share them on Facebook with the ABC Group at ABA.
