Reminder! Book Sense Holiday Insert and Ads Will be in Consumers Hands Next Week

The December 9 issue of The New Yorker, which goes on sale December 2, will include the latest Book Sense insert, "Booked for the Holidays," as well as a full-page ad featuring the November/December Book Sense 76 Top Ten and a smaller ad highlighting Book Sense pick Last Train to Paradise by Les Standiford (Crown Publishers). The following week, the December 16 issue of The New Yorker, on sale December 9, will include ads with Book Sense recommendations for Mary Pope Osborne's New York's Bravest (Knopf) and Choice Cuts by Mark Kurlanksy (Ballantine).

The "Booked for the Holidays" special feature presents the holiday picks of 13 independent booksellers, which were drawn from the November/December Book Sense 76 list. [For more on the special feature, click here.]

With a nationwide circulation of 924,745 and a readership of 3.5 million, The New Yorker special insert and ads will reach many of your customers. Display of the special feature in your store will also emphasize the importance of the relationship between book buyers and sellers, as well as the links that independent bookstores with Book Sense forge with their communities.
