Wi3 Education Handouts Now Available on BookWeb
For the approximately 500 booksellers who attended the American Booksellers Association's 2008 Winter Institute, there were 24 education sessions to pick from, on topics ranging from developing a business plan to better understanding customer behavior and reaching today's "digital natives."
Now, many of the detailed Wi3 handouts and supporting materials are available to all ABA bookstore members via BookWeb.org.
Members can access the content from the pull-down "Education" menu at the top of the BookWeb.org home page by topic, and the entire ABA online curriculum guide can be found at www.bookweb.org/education/curriculum.
BookWeb.org gives ABA members access to a wealth of information about the association's initiatives and services, including those in education, advocacy, and marketing. It also offers access to ABA's newsletter, Bookselling This Week; the Book Buyer's Handbook; a wide range of resources on free speech and legislative issues; a booksellers' blog and wiki; and links to regional trade associations, shop local initiatives, and other book-related groups.
The education material, which is password protected, is for ABA bookseller members only. Members who do not have a BookWeb username and password can easily create one.
