ABFFE’s Finan Receives Freedom to Read Foundation Award

Chris Finan, president of the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression, long-time member of the Media Coalition, and member and chair of the Board of the National Coalition Against Censorship, has been named the recipient of the American Library Association’s 2011 Freedom to Read Foundation  Roll of Honor Award.

Booksellers at ABA member stores across the country have chosen the winners of the 2011 Indies Choice Book Awards and the E.B. White Read-Aloud Awards.

Final Week to Vote for Indies Choice & E.B. White Awards

March 31 is the voting deadline for the 2011 Indies Choice Book Awards and the E.B. White Read-Aloud Awards. ABA is urging booksellers who haven’t already cast their electronic ballots to do so now.
