On Wednesday, July 6, ABA President Becky Anderson sent an e-mail to booksellers with the first of what will be regular updates about the association from both her and ABA’s CEO, Oren Teicher.

Emily St. John Mandel talks about The Singer’s Gun, Unbridled Books’ recent 25-cent e-book promotion, and her cautiously optimistic forecast for indie bookstores.

Booksellers came away from last week’s Winter Institute armed with plenty of practical ideas to improve their businesses; energized by the many networking opportunities with colleagues from across the country; and looking forward to handselling titles shared by publishers and authors at the event.
