The materials are a great way for independent bookstores to offer fresh choices during the summer reading season. The entire list of Summer Picks is also featured with bookseller quotes on IndieBound.org.
The members of the New Voices Committee (listed below) will reconvene in July to select their Fall Picks — the season’s top debuts to be featured in a two-page spread in the ABC Best Books for Children Catalog as well as on additional marketing materials.
Publishers who are both ABA members and ABC Group subscribers are welcome to submit titles by debut authors publishing between July 1 and December 31, 2013, for consideration by the committee. Details, including title, author, ISBN, price, format, and publishing date, should be sent via e-mail to ABC Group Manager Shannon O’Connor. Questions about the program should also be directed to O’Connor.
