Trade Show Hotels Offer a Variety of Rates

Hotel accommodations for ABA members and other attendees of this year’s BookExpo America are available through the BEA Hotel & Travel Desk.  The official BEA housing company, onPeak, offers a variety of choices, ranging from a $239 per night, three-star hotel to a $379 per night, five star hotel, all located in New York’s mid-town area. BEA registrants are encouraged to book early to take advantage of the best selection and early rates.

There is no official Hotel ABA this year, as BEA was unable to secure a big enough block of rooms at an affordable price that would accommodate the hundreds of ABA members who will be attending the show.

In addition to special room rates, the BEA Hotel & Travel Desk offers a number of travel discounts. Savings include five percent on American Airlines and two to seven percent on Delta; 10 percent on Amtrak; and five percent on rental cars from Avis.

BEA will be held from Monday through Thursday, June 4 to 7, at NYC’s Javits Convention Center.

All ABA member bookstores are eligible for a number of free badges to the show. Registration is via the BEA website or by calling customer service at (800) 840-5614.

ABA’s Day of Education, sponsored by Ingram Content Group, will be Monday, June 4, at Javits. Tuesday will feature the Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon and ABA’s Town Hall and Annual Membership Meeting. And, new this year will be the ABC Children’s Group Institute, on Wednesday. Separate registration, via kids.bookweb.org, is required for the Children’s Institute.
